as I stand before you tonight I can see a colorful attractive butterfly resting on my shoulder calm and insignificant but what you may not be aware of that I am kind of inoph obic how many of you in this room are just like me scared of insects despite that fear there exist within me a profound love for butterflies a beautiful contradiction of emotions and now fasten your seats and join me on a journey to explore the complexities of our relationship with nature if this butterfly were to flap its wings at this moment will you be able to feel it however this is not the case considering the collective impact of 8 billion bar flies with over 8 billion people living on Earth and sharing this planet with many other species it is crucial to cultivate a word where we all thrive in harmony with nature especially the we may be the most most creature affecting it negatively some people may debate whether climate change is just a myth so let's let's face it folks we are confronted on on a daily basis with pollution erosion flooding and the heartbreaking loss of biodiversity so the evidence is as clear as the wings of my colorful friend over here and thus we got a lot of work to do we might not be able to predict or control the future but we are all co-creating it as there is interconnectedness between the actions and events so we should be all aware that there is an unline effect of the cause even a small Human Action can unexpectedly have large impact or consequence but in the middle of the chaos there exist or there underlies a pattern and self organization that if accompanied with ethical decisions can ensure the primer of a sustainable future and can shape the Legacy We Leave Behind as a biology teacher I know that we have all studied the life cycle of the butterfly in elementary school but beyond the science there is a valuable lesson the metamorphosis butterfly undergoes resembles the transformation of our mindset it is about developing all our sustainable initiatives into daily practices and embracing them as a lifestyle propelled with the wings of perseverance toward a regenerative culture so let's embrace the butterfly effect in a positive way the fact that small human positive action can have a significant change don't underestimate our Collective impact as it does make a difference as it propels through Society toward a Greener brighter future for generations to come it is everyone's responsibility to be the Catalyst of the change that this world desperately needs isn't it time to step forward on the theoretical path of chaotic systems isn't it time to shift our perspectives and mindsets rethink our actions and evolve isn't it time to spend the threats of time and to weave the fabric of the future isn't it time to metamorph into a butterfly spread our wings and fly to a sustainable future one moment at a time one flutter at a time think about it as for me here is my answer thank you [Music] n [Music] n [Music] [Applause]
