Today as you can see I'm going to talk about color blindness and philosophy. But why stand? It's just because I am color blind and I like yeah and the color blindness for those who don't know what it is. It's just a eye condition which is a function of your cone and which is a receptor for the colors. So if you have a malfunction of in your cones, you will see colors a little bit wrong. So as you can see there, the red green color deficiency and the full color vision. And these are the the types that we have. But personally, I don't think that I'm just one. I think I I'm uh mixed up because yeah, I just got all I just see all colors wrong and and it all started when I was a kid around 5 years old and the teachers said said to my mom that did I I've always got the colors wrong and the paintings like painting the the the grass orange or the the sun in another color. And then my mom went with me in the to the doctor and we find out that I have color. And when I grew up a little bit, like when I was around 8 years old, it was normal to to to be draw and paint some things some things. And it was also normal to other kids to have make fun about it and jokes. And for me, it wasn't cool. It was like sad. And one day some kids took a bunch of colored pencils and leave them on the table and asked me each of them what color was it. And I failed. I just couldn't guess any color. And but when I grew up uh I decided to not care about this kind of things because I realized that I need to live with my condition and I can't just see differently. Yeah. And the point I want to come is how does color blindness make my life better and funnier. Uh it's normal at home. My sister know that knows that it's normal when I ask something. give the red pencil and it is green or when my mom asked me to take a a lion and I just take an orange and yeah it's normal and for me as a a color blind person it's normal for me to uh forget that I'm color blind because I never saw different as I see so it started to be funny and one day some colleagues were doing a presentation at school and was kind of this map here from and I asked my friend who was nearby me and he then I asked him why is the person there presenting for saying the red part but it hasn't a red part and then he started laughing and I then I took the time to realize that I I really and we started laughing and it was really fun and this uh makes my my my days a little bit funnier and happier because yeah it's it's And the first of the point that I want to cover is it really worth it to judge people based on their thoughts and opinions. And the thing that made me realize that I don't need to uh care about this this opinions and this comments was Mitch. And Mitch said that if the devil comes to you and say that uh you need to live your life repeated times infinite times again and again would you try to change the way you live to a better life or would you stay the same and live infinite times again and this made me reflect about this about my actions and about my thoughts and I realized that I don't need to care about the silly things that happens in my my life not just color blindness but also So everything that happens in our life. Yeah. And Heracitus once said that everything flows and nothing abides. Everything gives way and nothing stays fixed. And he also said that if a man can't take a bath twice in the same river because the river flows and the man changes. And with that said, we know that everyone has different experiences. And with that we know that everyone has different opinions. Even if my opinion is like uh similar to the other opinions, it wouldn't be the same because no one has the same experiences as me. And this also made me uh be who I am right now because I started not to care whether we argue or when we discuss about certain things that happens in our day life. And yeah and Socrates also said all I know is that I know nothing because the people in his time was trying to and people said that they say about things that they really don't know about. So and this happens in today also because uh people are just trying to be better than the others and say things that they actually don't know about and these three things made me be who I am right now caring too much about the things the seated things that happens in our day in our days and yeah and it was a short presentation But I want to hope that this reflection could help you not care about too much about the silly things that happens in your lives. And yeah, it was this. Thank you.
