Reviewer: Yiğit Yıldırım So my name is still on solve in China,
Academy of Science and Arts. I like to talk about how to respond to the
humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. First, I'd like to give you some
background information of the humanitarian crisis. By the decision of the president
of the United States, the US military has strong.
Also, the Taliban regime has returned. Thus, the Islamic extremist policies of
Taliban regime are being implemented. Thus many humanitarian crisis
are happening in Afghanistan. These are the critical crises
occurring in Afghanistan. First, girls are not allowed
to be educated. Also, the employment of
women is restricted. Finally, cooperatives related to the United States and other Western
countries are executed or tortured. So these are violating the
human rights written on the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights in particular. Article two related to rights and
freedoms without distinction. Article five related to subjection
of torture and cruel treatment. Article twenty-three related to
the Freedom and Rights to Work. Article twenty-six related to the
Freedom to be educated. So how can you respond to the humanitarian
crisis in Afghanistan? So I have to introduce to you both ideas.
First, protect the cooperatives. Citizens should protect the cooperatives
to the United States and the Western countries. Countries must
support and help all cooperatives to keep in a safe and stable condition. Second, support the refugees, the international society should
provide appropriate support for the refugees through those actions. Refugees can be protected
from any crisis through the United Nations organization programs
or funds like UNSCR or UNICEF. We could easily approach and
support the refugees. Finally, protect the women due to the
Islamic extremist policies of the Taliban regime, women in Afghanistan
are in desperate conditions where they can't work in proper place or
cannot get any education. Also, without wearing burqas, they're threatened by Taliban power and always in fear of being executed
before the international society. And the United Nations should respond to the Afghanistan government to change
women's policies, of course, through that process. There
should be consideration of the domestic situation of Afghanistan. These are the pictures I used, and thank you for listening.
