how do we explain this story with all its twists and turns it's a story of stone age to internet age a story of barbarism to a civilized World a story of change and how we know the world as it is today Charles Darwin gave us the expression the tree of life and how our story of development start at starts at a defined Point called the origin or a seed and then how roots are formed and then how we goes into a tree it's a sto story of progressive development this also defines the way we think and helps us to answer the question then what happened we look for causes and effects a start and an end a clear path as to what why and how now isn't this how we make sense of things and events hold this thought as I take you through a recent story not very long ago there was a man he was tall and he was white and one day from his bedroom window a question popped in his mind can can I become president and half and his inner voice said to him I will become the best president ever I will make America great again and I will win like no one has ever won before cut to the 2016 US elections this man wins so then what happened the world was transformed as he made history by taking oath in office half of the American population Rose to say that he is not my president even though their Democratic elections we saw a breakdown of Civility new news and fake news violence and protests politics turned personal as families were divided and friendships were lost what to believe and how to participate in this discussion has become complex like never before in 8 years time a country moved from the first black president to the Trump phenomenon and now coming back to our thought in question is this Progressive development the question is how do we explain this and as we use social media to post our day-to-day life experiences I see that our lives have become public and we live in Two Worlds a physical world where we are defined by our geographies our identities our society structures our hierarchies and it's a step-by-step story of development and we live in an internet world where we are interconnected 24x7 and our world is in a continuous state of flux where there's information misinformation opinions changing beliefs and perceptions social networks are being formed and don't even know that others exist this is how a decentralized model of development is possible where there are no roots no hierarchies no beginning nor an end so for people who are completely shocked by the US election results did they miss out on people who had different values beliefs and problems so what are we getting into what are we changing into are we becoming better or simply different these questions transform everything and turning my attention to my world in school I've asked myself three questions the first question came to me when I was standing with my fellow food technology students in my food tech class and I realized that we were only 10% of the grade who wanted to come who wanted to explore more about food and food becomes part of your body so I asked myself how can we make sure that students create more healthier food choices I had attended a sustainable living lab program with a couple of my friends and I and we came up with the idea to make a mini robot which helps students create healthier food choices in a fun and interactive way the food Revolution is key to sustainable future and the second question came to me when I was going through the service trips in my school what is the effect on a student when they go and help out in a service trip there's one service trip that is really close to my heart and that is when I went and worked with kids who are rescued from streets in Vietnam I realized that they had Big Dreams just like my friends and I and when I saw Smiles on their faces I realized with a lot of effort I was still creating a change in their life lives and I realized at that moment when we give to others that defines the essence of our lives and the third question came to me when I was playing football in the football field why is it that children want to have more fun through my first tedex talk I have uh spread the message of the true value of fun and how students in their primary years should learn and play fearlessly and when the focus is on well-being we deserve a stress-free life this is my grade n group photograph yeah and we all Stand Tall with our experiences of giving of Sustainable Solutions of service and well-being and how we all still teenagers but very soon we will all have voting rights it depends on the political chances we take and the personal choices we make the process of transformation is constant interconnectedness is 24 by7 and what you become depends on how you can question to transform everything and this is an idea word spreading thank you
